Hacker Kevin Mitnick


Mitnick was born on August 6, 1963. He is one of the most famous computer hackers. He was arrested by the FBI on February 15, 1995. Mitnick was convicted of wire fraud and of breaking into the computer systems of Fujitsu, Motorola, Nokia, and Sun Microsystems. He served five years in prison  and was released on January 21, 2000. During his supervised release, which ended on January 21, 2003, he was restricted from using any communications technology other than a landline telephone, although occasional exceptions were granted.

Although often portrayed as a technical expert, most of Mitnick's attacks were based on social engineering, the practice of obtaining confidential information by manipulation of legitimate users, rather than technical exploits he discovered.

Mitnick discovered a large number of vulnerabilities in the OpenVMS operating system by getting access to the Voicemail system of security researchers at DEC.

Setting Path Java di Mac OS

1.  Mac OSX 10.5 atau terbaru Di Mac OSX versi 10.5 atau yang terbaru, Apple merekomendasikan untuk mensetting $JAVA_HOME dengan menggunakan /usr/libexec/java_home, untuk mengekspor dapat menggunakan file .bash_profile atau .profile .   - Buka terminal, ketik vim .bash_profile atau vim .profile    - Ubah file .bash_profile atau .profile seperti gambar di bawah ini:     Untuk keluar tekan esc pada tombol, dilanjut ketik :wq untuk menyimpan perubahan tersebut. -  Ketik di terminal source .bash_profile . -  Ketika di terminal echo $JAVA_HOME untuk melihat path javanya.    -  Ketika di terminal java -version untuk melihat versi java terbaru 2.  Versi Lama Mac OSX  Dikarenakan versi Mac OSX lama tidak ada /usr/libexec/java_home , maka ketika mensetting di file .bash_profile harus menuliskan path javanya.
